Course Description (Lecture Style Webinar):

The next frontier of in-office appliance design and printing is here. No longer are 3D printers simply a “hobby”, now we have the ability to design and fabricate many different appliances and even restorations for our patients. Much like the transition to CAD/CAM milled restorations, 3D printing has multiple options and entry points. This course will provide an overview of what’s possible, a paradigm for current and future services, and a look at what is coming soon right around the corner.

Instructor: Dr. Alexander Vaughan

Dr. Alexander T. Vaughan is a board certified orofacial pain specialist and co-founder of Virginia Total Sleep. His practice, located in Richmond, Virginia, is full dedicated to the specialized treatment of orofacial pain and sleep apnea and was founded on the key pillars of increased access to care through medical insurance billing and digital dentistry. Drawn into dentistry by CAD-CAM systems, Dr. Vaughan was able to put down the highspeed handpiece, but can’t let go of digital impression, design, and fabrication of appliances for his patients. In addition to clinical dentistry, Dr. Vaughan provides training in orofacial pain, dental sleep medicine, medical billing, DSM practice administration, and digital design/3D printing.
