Speaker: Adrian Avram, DDS, FAGD
Dr. Adrian Avram, DDS, FAGD, was born in Transylvania, Romania, and earned his dental degree from Iuliu-Hațieganu University in Cluj-Napoca in 2002. After moving to the United States in 2005, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 2009. He has practiced in the Richmond metropolitan area since 2010. In 2025, he completed a fellowship in Forensic Dentistry at Lincoln Memorial University in Knoxville, Tennessee, and in 2026, he became a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry.
Outside dentistry, Dr. Avram enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his wife and two children. He also volunteers with Wintergreen Ski Patrol and the Goochland Community Emergency Response Team.
Topic: "Navigating the Standard of Care in Modern Dentistry"
This presentation will explore how the dental standard of care is established and applied in everyday practice. Topics will include informed consent, documentation, timely referrals, and common pitfalls that can lead to malpractice claims. Attendees will gain insights to reduce professional liability.
